My passion for psychology and helping others began many years ago. I embarked on my formal education in psychology, with a particular focus on industrial/organizational psychology, at Southern California Seminary. This educational journey not only equipped me with a strong foundation but also instilled in me a deep appreciation for the complexities of human behavior in various contexts. As part of my journey, I had the privilege of undergoing clinical training under the guidance of Dr. Paula Maness, Psy.D PSY23787, a seasoned professional whose
wisdom and expertise have greatly influenced my approach to therapy. My experience extends over twenty-five years, during which I've had the privilege of working with diverse populations, including the Department of Education and
the Department of Health and Human Services. These experiences have been deeply enriching, allowing me to connect with some of the most vulnerable members of our society, from children to seniors.
At this time, I have completed my formal education at Southern California Seminary and am studying for licensure for the state of California. I am currently receiving my clinical training under the supervision of Dr. Paula Maness, Psy.D. PSY23787
My therapeutic approach is rooted in extensive training focused on addressing issues such as domestic violence, high conflict parenting, and anger management.
Central to my therapeutic toolkit are Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), two evidence-based modalities renowned for their effectiveness. While CBT targets faulty thinking patterns, DBT offers practical skills and techniques for problem-solving. In my practice, I combine these approaches to empower clients with the tools they need to navigate challenges and achieve meaningful outcomes. With a deep commitment to understanding and empathy, I work collaboratively with clients to foster positive change. Together, we can embark on a journey toward healing and growth.
The value of life can only be recognized when it is viewed through a lens that examines the trials of life. Accurate vision sometimes requires help from someone with heart and patience who can nurture you while you determine the value. I have the heart, the patience and the skill needed to assist you as you examine the trials of your life, the value of your experiences and how best to use them in your life. I am dedicated to fostering meaningful exchanges with mature individuals seeking to navigate life's deepest challenges. Through the art of empathetic listening, I strive to forge a powerful connection with each client, guiding them towards
acceptance, inner strength, and actionable change. Drawing upon evidence-based practices, I believe in the transformative potential within everyone to move beyond
their past. Let's embark on this journey together toward growth and fulfillment.
