Let's understand what keeps repeating.
Most of the people I work with don’t feel broken. They feel worn down by repeating the same patterns, even after years of insight, effort, or success.
I work with adults who are thoughtful, capable, and often high functioning, yet feel stuck in things like relentless drive, emotional guardedness, avoidance, or doing everything on their own. Many are leaders, high achievers, athletes, or people of faith. These patterns didn’t come out of nowhere. They developed for a reason.
Rather than focusing on managing symptoms, we slow down and look at what shaped the pattern in the first place. What did it protect you from. What did it help you carry when you didn’t have better options.
When people can see that clearly, something shifts. The pattern stops feeling like an enemy. It becomes something you can understand, appreciate for what it once did, and grieve for what it cost over time. From there, it becomes possible to loosen its grip now that the threat is no longer the same.
For many Christian clients, this work also touches their relationship with God. They want to live faithfully, rest in grace, and trust God more deeply, yet find themselves caught in patterns of striving, shame, emotional suppression, or fear of disappointing God. For some, faith has quietly become another place where performance replaces presence. Therapy offers space to explore these struggles honestly, without judgment, so faith can become a source of grounding and connection rather than pressure or fear.
Therapy becomes less about fixing yourself and more about understanding yourself, so change happens with choice, not pressure.

You may be high-functioning on the outside — successful, capable, holding it all together — and quietly exhausted on the inside. I work with adults who are ready to understand why the same struggles keep showing up, and to change them at the root.
Areas of focus include:
• Trauma, anxiety, and depression
• Burnout, chronic stress, and emotional exhaustion
• Relationship patterns and communication challenges
• Life transitions, grief, and identity shifts
• Feeling stuck — even when life "looks fine" from the outside
• Faith and spirituality woven into your healing (for those who want that)
Therapy here is individualized, depth-focused, and designed for lasting change — not just coping.

No. Dr. Maness is a private-pay (cash-pay) psychologist. This means no insurance billing, no managed care restrictions, and complete confidentiality — your records are not shared with any third party. Many clients find this allows for deeper, more flexible work. A superbill can be provided for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
PSYPACT is an interstate compact that allows licensed psychologists to practice telehealth across participating states. Dr. Maness holds a PSYPACT authority to practice, meaning she can work with clients in 40+ states — no local referral needed. If you’re unsure whether your state participates, just ask in your consultation.
Dr. Maness works primarily with high-functioning adults experiencing burnout, anxiety, trauma, depression, and relationship patterns that keep repeating. Many clients are leaders, executives, athletes, or people of faith who feel successful on the outside but stuck on the inside. The work is depth-focused and designed for lasting change, not just symptom management.
There’s no fixed timeline. Most people begin to notice meaningful shifts within 2–4 months when attending regularly. The work isn’t about feeling better week to week — it’s about understanding what drives your patterns well enough that they begin to lose their hold. Progress looks like more clarity, less reactivity, and decisions that actually reflect what you want.
The free 15-minute consultation is a low-pressure conversation. Dr. Maness will ask what’s bringing you in, share how she works, and you can ask questions. The goal is to determine whether this feels like the right fit before you commit. There’s no sales pitch and no pressure.
