Dr. Maness is a licensed clinical psychologist in Florida (PY1179) and California (PSY30798) with over 20 years of experience supporting and guiding individuals as they learn to embrace change through their therapeutic journeys. She understands the profound emotional and psychological impact that chronic trauma and abuse can have, often leaving individuals feeling disconnected, powerless, and uncertain about their needs. In response, many individuals may resort to unhealthy coping mechanisms in an attempt to regain control and find temporary relief, sometimes facing irreversible consequences as a result. Her work is dedicated to helping clients restore and refine their sense of self, remove shame and guilt, and build a path toward empowerment and healing.
Our approach is integrative, drawing from a range of evidence-based techniques tailored to each client’s unique needs. We incorporate multifaceted theories, primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). These proven modalities use practical skill-building techniques for problem-solving and mindfulness strategies to target hypofrontality, a common result of chronic abuse. By working collaboratively, we aim to foster positive change and growth.
